All money raised goes directly to the maintenance and upkeep of Abbotts Ann War Memorial Hall. Your winnings are delivered to your home and winners are announced in the Abbotts Ann
Parish Magazine.

Thank you for your interest in our village hall and you are in the right place to find out more about it..

Whether you are a regular user or are hiring the hall for the first time, we want you to find everything you need to make your time here enjoyable.
We are lucky to have a number of regular users as well as parties and other events so that the hall is well used and we are able to invest the proceeds from the hire of the hall into refurbishing and upgrading the facilities year on year.
We are at the centre of the village both geographically and figuratively, and we would ask that you and your guests are sensitive and respect our neighbours especially at night.

The day to day running and maintenance of the hall is managed by the Hall committee and overseen by trustees. The running and upkeep of the hall is financed mainly by:-

  • Renting out the hall for most types of function
  • The yearly “100 Club” lottery — Year April 2024 to March 2025 now open to join or renew your subscription — View/download the form with full details HERE
  • Grants from local councils, private bodies and commercial companies
  • Organising public events
  • Hosting the Abbotts Ann Players drama group

We are pleased to announce that thanks to donations we have now had the flat roof over the kitchen and Jubilee room completely repaired and recovered.

We have also been able to replace the rear windows of the hall with new PVC double glazed windows.

The following work is planned or in progress

  • Refresh and Replacement of Jubilee Room toilet. Work starts on 4th December 2023 and is now completed except for the tiling. A new toilet, basin and hot water heater has been fitted. The toilet previously had never had hot water available in the basin.
  • Decorating, repairing and replace floor in Jubilee room
  • Decorating main hall
  • Replace front facing hall windows with double glazed windows.
  • Asbestos investigation work and get formal certificate for insurance — Completed with a full report
  • Upgrading external guttering
  • Clearing out external soak aways — Almost completed
