Thank you for your interest in our village hall and you are in the right place to find out more about it..

Whether you are a regular user or are hiring the hall for the first time, we want you to find everything you need to make your time here enjoyable.
We are lucky to have a number of regular users as well as parties and other events so that the hall is well used and we are able to invest the proceeds from the hire of the hall into refurbishing and upgrading the facilities year on year.
We are at the centre of the village both geographically and figuratively, and we would ask that you and your guests are sensitive and respect our neighbours especially at night.

The day to day running and maintenance of the hall is managed by the Hall committee and overseen by trustees. The running and upkeep of the hall is financed mainly by:-

  • Renting out the hall for most types of function
  • Grants from local councils, private bodies and commercial companies
  • Organising public events
  • Abbotts Ann Nursery School during term time.
  • Hosting the Abbotts Ann Players drama group

We are pleased to announce that on 28th October 2024 we were awarded a grant of £19,944.75.
All work which is being paid by the grant must be finished and claimed by 31st March 2025.

The following work and/or improvements have been completed as of 13th January 2025

  1. Implemented a Bluetooth Speaker System available to all hall Users (Hall Funded)
  2. All Hall Soffit and Fascia boards were sanded and repaired and repainted (Grant Funded)
  3. Replace roof guttering and repair damage to brickwork from water leaked from the guttering (Grant Funded)
  4. Purchased new chairs and tables and the WI kindly donated half of the cost of the chairs (WI Funded half)
  5. The Heating controls are now “locked” the thermostat controller in the hall and is controlled remotely. Heating is switched on/off base on bookings. (Hall Funded)
  6. Added hot water facility to the ladies toilets and Jubilee room toilet (Hall Funded)
  7. Completely refurbished the rear toilet including plaster boarding the walls and painting the room. (Grant & Hall Funded)
  8. Replaced rear building door which will become the Jubilee room entrance door in the future when the main hall is in use. (Fete Grant Funded)
  9. Replaced lighting with modern LED lights in the main hall which will reduce the electricity bill (Hall Funded)
  10. Added two fans in the hall to help heat circulation (Hall Funded)
